Most people who have more than one car already know the answer to the question in the title of this post. Generally speaking you can save money if you have more than one car when you compare the individual prices if you were to have to separate policies and then add the totals together. But you will still have to pay more for insurance because now you will have more coverage.
Ok this was kind of a trick question because of course you will pay more when you have more than one vehicle. But you do save money because you get what is typically called something like a multi-car discount. Another way to save money is to get other insurance coverage such as home or rental insurance. You would still be smart to check with at least a few different companies so you can compare all of the different rate quotes.
